Review: Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I

A perfect entertainer. You wouldn't even know where the time went from the first scene to the last. It has everything you expect from a mission impossible movie and some more. There are exhilarating action sequences, chases and fights which invokes your inner claustrophobic fears and they are shot in an engaging manner that you feel like you're in there with them fighting to survive. The good thing about this latest installation of the franchise is that almost all the characters get their screentime and importance, old and new alike.Surprisingly, unlike  any other previous versions, this one elicit a few laughs and chuckles along the way as if preparing us for the nervy, gut punching action sequences which follows almost in an never-ending manner. Vanessa Kirby has been excellent in reprising her role of the white widow, Rebecca Ferguson is good as expected and the surprise package is Hayley Atwell, bringing both her acting and action chops to the franchise to give a breath of fresh air.
But the surprise  package was Pom Klementieff who has been on a rampage quite literally and almost stole the show for herself along with the evergreen Tom Cruise who is hell bent on raising the bar of action genre and "entertainment" to his fans. He is almost single handedly saving the cinema and bringing back the movie goers to the cinemas, with multiple running and death and gravity defying stunts per film.
Essentially, a race against time, this part one of the two part installment has hit the gold in every sense.
Kudos to the one and only true superstar of work cinema, Mr. Cruise and his perfect partner, Mr. McQuarrie. Can't wait for the next one and wondering how are they going to top this gem. Undoubtedly, better than Top Gun and going to top the box office charts this year!!
