The edge
What do you do or where do you go when you feel like you're totally against the wall, utterly hopeless and there's absolutely no sign of a flicker, let alone a light, at the end of the tunnel?
All of a sudden you can hear the crushing sound of your dreams and hopes shattering, you feel too numb to go on and giving up starting to look like the easy way or probably the only way. Is there a way out or is it really the end of the road?
All of a sudden no amount of inspirational stories or books or stories feel like bullshit and can no longer ignite or revive the hopes again.
Do anyone know the answer or is it just another rhetorical question? Some might say fake it till you make it but then you are tired of faking it, the smile, laughter, the mask of happiness you wore, for a long time which might start to feel like forever by now. Sleepless nights are back again, you're on the edge, waiting for that push to happen, willing to surrender to the voice from the little guy on your shoulder, telling you that there's no way out of this and urging you to take the easy way out ( it's never easy), whoever called it the easy way out had never had life tough or rather had it somewhat easy, I assume.
You feel like you're walking with a target on your back, the proverbial sword of Damocles weighing just above you. How do you escape that, if there's any? That "if" is the actual sword you're trying to escape, so desperately.
Now, there're more questions than answers in your life and if only chatgpt or gemini was an actual person and had all the answers to life like it has for so many other things. The other "if" that clouds your brain would be what if your trial of giving up ends up as just another addition to the string of failures you've already been through and you end up living to see it and suffer further more and be at the mercy of others to make it even worse. Oh, the irony of it!
