Book Review: Our of Time by Dave Sinclair

First of the year and I'm so glad that i chose this one to start my literary journey of this year, in which i have formed some specific tasks and heights to scale. To be honest, i was a bit skeptical while beginning with this one as it has been a while since I read anything fictional. But by the time I'd done with the first chapter i was totally hooked, with everything- the writing, the set up, the main character, the venue of the plot etc. The skepticism i had soon made way to overjoy as i learned that much of the story is going to happen in the past and that too in one of my favourite era, the infamous sixties. The place of it all happening being London was icing on the cake. In most of the time travelling fiction it's very common for the writer to get lost in the detailing of the surrounding and lose track of the plot or you get too immersed in the plot that you come up with a few inaccuracies in the timeline and history. But here the author has been immensely successful at finding a perfect balance between the two and came out with thumping success by interweaving a gripping investigation plot in the midst of all the other chaos while bringing in more interesting characters to get the reader hooked onto.
Altogether, a fantastic read to any sci fi, time travel, murder mystery, investigation thriller fans out there.
I haven't finished many books as quickly as i did with this one because the interest it piqued never slowed down till i reached the last page of the last chapter.
P. S: In retrospect of learning what the author actually went through while writing this one is truly inspirational and a hard kick on the chin for lads like me who would look for any excuse to reason with my procrastination skill. I can only wish and feel humbled and amazed by the author's immense talent and determination as well as dedication towards his passion as well as to his loved ones and it truly reflects in his writing and his characters. Atticus Wolfe has cemented a place in my heart as one of the best characters i have ever come across.
Thank you @davesinclairauthor  for this great gift to us! Cannot wait to get to the next ones. Please keep on giving us more and more!!
